Abstract
A defined calving season is crucial for improving cow-calf production's economic success and performance. However, it can be challenging for year-round herds due to varying ages and production cycles. Proper vaccination protocols are difficult to apply, and not all calves are ready for the same vaccinations simultaneously. This publication discusses the value of utilizing a short calving season. Managing cows to calve in a short season is easy, efficient, and profitable, enhancing pasture and nutrition management.
